About Field Contact

Founded in 2021 by Matt, a dedicated Air Force veteran and former police officer, Field Contact LLC is an Arizona-based small business with a mission rooted in passion, experience, and purpose.

Matt’s journey began as a firefighter and fire captain in the Air Force, where he specialized in technical rescue. After three deployments and years of service at a fighter training base, he and his wife chose to transition from military life. Matt honorably separated from the U.S. Air Force in September 2014 and embarked on a new path as a police officer.

During his tenure in law enforcement, Matt worked primarily on the graveyard shift in high-crime areas, where he used proactive field contacts to deter and prevent crime. His dedication and efforts in this role led to numerous arrests of violent offenders.

Despite working in various roles within the department, Matt’s commitment to graveyard patrol remained strong until his career was marked by two officer-involved shootings in the fall of 2021.

Following his medical retirement from the police department in 2022, Matt faced the challenge of finding a new, fulfilling purpose. Inspired by his passion for the firearms community and driven by conversations with close friends, Matt took a bold step and founded Field Contact LLC in 2023.

At Field Contact LLC, Matt channels his experiences and designs into merchandise that connects people with the firearms community. His vision extends beyond selling products; he aspires to build a brand that educates and empowers individuals to be proficient and responsible when carrying a firearm.
